Converting other files to an accepted file
type:
With these methods you may have to use
your particular software options in order to display a clear image
of your full circuit, in black and white whenever possible.
You can typically do this by zooming to the
desired view, selecting or deselecting layers, editing layer colors,
changing the background color and turning off any displayed
grid.
Export or "Save As"
Option
If your file type is not on our list you may be
able to use your software program to File then Save As or Export the
file to a listed format. This may involve turning off some layers
from view and selecting the export quality.
Print Screen Option
Another option is to a select your software
options to display a clear black and white image of your circuit.
Now hold down the shift key and press "Pnt/Scr" (Print
Screen) typically in the upper right portion of your keyboard. This
will capture your displayed screen onto your clipboard memory. Now
open your favorite paint or image program and "paste" this
as a new image. Now select just the area containing the circuit then
cut and paste it as a new image.
Convert to .PDF Option
Yet another option is to use any one of the
free conversion programs such as http://www.dopdf.com
Once installed it will allow you to convert any printable file to a
.pdf file. Again, first select the layers and view of your desired
artwork. Then convert the file which saves it as a PDF file from
your print menu option.
Bottom Layer v/s Top Layer
We only make single surface PCBs, which can be
of course be used as a top layer or bottom layer... The image that
you send us is printed on the copper surface of your board. We do
not mirror the image during this process. We will
"mirror" your image upon request.
Always
Print the image to check that it is the the
proper size by measuring or simply setting a part on it. If it's not
the correct size use you paint or image software to re-size it
correctly. What you see from your printer is essentially what you
get from us. We use the "actual length and width
measurement" that you send us to further insure that your PCBs
are made to the intended size.
